Usui/Holy Fire Reiki Classes

WHAT IS REIKI?

Reiki is a Japanese relaxation technique that is used in more than 800 hospitals in the U.S. Many nurses are trained in Reiki, which is often used as a complementary therapy to reduce pain and improve patient physical health and mental well-being.

Reiki is a style of energy medicine which uses energy to calm and balance the body and mind, which activates the body's natural healing abilities.

What Are the Benefits?

Reiki sessions are a great way to clear your mind and improve your overall focus. As you release negative thoughts and stress from your body, you restore balance. This can accelerate your body’s self-healing abilities so that you can have more energy and feel more optimistic.

Another great benefit is improved sleep. Regular Reiki sessions allow you time to focus and treat your mental and emotional health, which means you can relax and fall asleep more easily. Reiki can help reduce pain and improve your mental well-being, so don’t wait to get started. No matter what your motivation is to try Reiki, I am here to help support and guide you. My experience as a Registered Nurse supports what the research has found:

  1. Reiki is helpful in reducing stress and anxiety

  2. Reiki has also been shown to be helpful in reducing pain

Reiki does not take the place of medical care.  It is recommended that a licensed physician or licensed health care professional be seen for any physical or psychological ailments.  Reiki can complement any medical or psychological care you may be receiving.

RESTORES BALANCE

Unlike many therapies, Reiki treats the whole body and restores balance to our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.

In general terms, Reiki is a life force energy that is guided by a higher intelligence, not by the mind.

While spiritual in nature, Reiki is NOT a religion.

It is not dependent on any dogma or belief and can be practiced on anyone.

LIFE FORCE ENERGY

Our life force energy, called “Ki,” nourishes our tissues and organs. When the Ki is blocked or mischanneled, our physical tissues and organs are negatively affected.

Negative thoughts and emotions can collect in our bodies, which restricts energy flow, leading to illness, stress and anxiety. Reiki flows through the affected parts of our bodies and charges them with positive energy.

People with low life energy often feel sick, stressed or anxious. Those with higher life energy (unobstructed) generally feel more joyful, optimistic and healthy.

REIKI SESSIONS

In general, Reiki energy flows through the practitioner's hands into the client.

The Reiki practitioner places their hands on or near the body, usually around the head, shoulders, stomach or feet. Sessions generally last between 45 and 90 minutes.

Both the practitioner and the client often feel a powerful radiance during treatment and feel refreshed and more positive after a session.
